Grothusenkoog on Eiderstedt

Enjoy the view

In the southwest of the peninsula, Grothusenkoog—Eiderstedt’s smallest municipality—invites you to enjoy a relaxing getaway right on the North Sea coast and the Wadden Sea, a World Natural Heritage Site. Quiet, idyllic, and charming—that’s how you could describe this “tiny community.” Located right on the dike, Grothusenkoog offers views all the way to St. Peter-Ording, Vollerwiek, and the "Eidersperrwerk" (flood barrier). With the North Sea right on your doorstep and the vast landscape of the Eiderstedt Peninsula all around, you’ll find peace and relaxation here—a balm for the soul.
