St. Peter-Ording and the Surrounding Area

Among the most popular destinations here on the Eiderstedt Peninsula are the wide sandy beach at St. Peter-Ording and the lighthouse "Westerhever" in Westerhever, surrounded by salt marshes. Designed to blend in with nature, the animal park "Westküstenpark" in St. Peter-Ording is a wonderful destination for the whole family. From Alpine sheep to pygmy zebus, more than 850 domestic and wild animals have found a spacious home here. Bouncy cushions, a children’s barn, and a giant slide guarantee hours of fun.

A special highlight is "Robbarium" (area for seals at the animal park), which is Germany’s largest seal enclosure and is filled with pure North Sea water. You absolutely must experience the entertaining feedings of these cute animals at least once.
