The Road to a Spa Treatment
If you’re feeling drained and exhausted, you can opt for an outpatient spa treatment. The health and wellness center at the Dünen-Therme in St. Peter-Ording offers a wide range of spa treatments—all in accordance with health care guidelines.
An outpatient spa treatment is a measure—also known as a preventive care service—designed to help avoid the need for intensive inpatient rehabilitation. Outpatient spa treatments in St. Peter-Ording are particularly recommended for conditions affecting the skin, the respiratory system, and the musculoskeletal system, as well as for cases of exhaustion.
Depending on your health insurance plan and your doctor’s prescription, you may be eligible for reimbursement of the full cost of medical treatment and approximately 90% of the cost of spa treatments.
In most cases, a doctor determines the medical necessity of a spa treatment. The doctor will help you fill out your application for the spa treatment.
The application is submitted to your insurance provider or health insurance company for review.
In consultation with your doctor, you can choose the spa location and accommodations yourself for an outpatient spa treatment.
St. Peter-Ording is recognized as a Nordseeheil- und Schwefelbad (state-recognised north sea health and sulphur spa). For this reason, an outpatient spa treatment here may be subsidized by your insurance provider.
