The digital vacation companion for St. Peter-Ording is a web app that can be used on any device, such as smartphones or tablets. Easy to use, straightforward, and smart—it offers quite a few advantages.
The digital vacation companion includes your guest card—which serves as proof that you’ve paid the visitor’s tax—and also provides you with information and lets you book tickets. Your tickets are then stored in the app as well.

Please note that you can currently only register for the web app if you receive a registration link from your host.

FAQs About the Digital Travel Companion

Currently, you can only use the web app and the digital guest card if you've booked a vacation in St. Peter-Ording and your host has provided you with access to the digital guest card via a registration link. Once you’ve registered for the digital vacation companion, you can also use the web app for future visits to St. Peter-Ording.

You've booked a vacation in St. Peter-Ording, and your host has now entered your information to create your digital guest card. As part of this process, an email will be sent to you automatically to provide you with access to your digital guest card.

Yes, the digital guest card is only available in the Vacation Companion.

Unless you register for the digital guest card, your host will print out the guest card and give you the printed version no later than upon your arrival.

That's possible. Feel free to ask your host or contact the staff at the tourist information offices in St. Peter-Ording.

After completing the registration process, you’ll find brief instructions on the “Welcome” homepage on how to install the app or create a shortcut on your home screen. Depending on your browser, you’ll usually find this option in the top-right corner under the three dots or dashes. Here, the option is labeled either “Install” or “Install App.”

Even though this defeats the purpose of the digital vacation companion, participating locations will also accept a screenshot of the guest card, provided the QR code is legible.

Under “Guest Card,” you have two options for sharing guest cards with your travel companions. Using “Share Guest Card,” you can share a single guest card with your travel companions (only the card, without the vacation companion). Using “Invite Guests,” you can share all guest cards with your travel companions (all cards, including the vacation companion).

Once you've installed the app, you can use the vacation guide and the digital guest cards even when you're offline.

Yes, you can also use the guest card in a hybrid way.

Your information is used solely for the guest card and the functionality of the vacation guide. You will not receive any advertisements or newsletters, and we will not contact you by email or mail.

Your account for the Vacation Companion will be deleted until further notice, but no later than three years from now. The data is stored solely for the purpose of using the Vacation Companion and will not be used for any other purposes.
